The "Choir Francesco Veniero" was born on October 4, 1982.
It is composed of about 40 elements and is based in the Santuario Madonna del Pilone - Corso Casale 195, Turin.
The choir's director is Maestro Franco Gabriele Turicchi, who founded and directed it with the organ collaboration of Maestro Flavio Guglielmi.
For some years Maestro Turicchi has passed the concert direction to Maestro Luigi Canestro, with the collaboration of Maestro Francesco Cavaliere.
The Choir has numerous concerts and masses to its credit in the major churches of Turin, Piedmont, various Italian cities, including Rome, Padua, Florence, Assisi and abroad, thanks to its vast sacred repertoire.

It has also performed numerous concerts of lyrical and polyphonic music.
The Choir's repertoire includes: the “Missa Prima Pontificalis” by L. Perosi, the “Messe brève” by Ch. Gounod, the “Te Deum” by M.A. Charpentier, the “Gloria” by A. Vivaldi performed in various churches in Piedmont, under the direction of Maestro L. Grandis.
The “Via Crucis” by F. Liszt performed in the church of San Lorenzo in Turin, in 1998 on the occasion of the Exposition of the Holy Shroud.
The “Missa Criolla” by Ariel Ramirez, the “Mass n.2 in G major” by F. Scubert.
The Oratorio “The Seven Words of Our Lord in the Cross” by Saverio Mercadante, world premiere in Turin.
The “Magnificat” by a. Vivaldi, the Oratorio "The Resurrection of Christ" by L. Perosi, "Confiterbor Tibi Domine", "Psalm 110" and the "Stabat Mater" by GB. Pergolesi.
The Francesco Veniero choir in the Basilica Superiore (Assisi)
On 2002 and on other occasions, the Choir sang Mass at the Abbey of Hautecombe in Savoy, in memory of King Umberto II and Queen Maria Josè, and at the Basilica of Superga in Turin.
The Choir collaborated with the Piedmont Youth Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Gianni Monte, performing opera concerts, and “Carmina Burana” by Carl Orff performed at the Lingotto in Turin, at the Teatrlo Coccia Di Novara and at the Mozart Auditorium in Ivrea.
It performed Carmina Burana in Trecate conducted by Maestro Mauro Trombetta.
On 2000, with the same orchestra conducted by Maestro Mario Cappellin, the Choir performed the “Requiem” by W.A. Mozart in Turin, at the G. Then in Lumezzane (Bs) with Director Giovanna Sorbi.
The “Messe Solennelle à Sainte Cécile” by Ch. Gounod, with the Orchestra Des Alpe de la Mer conducted by Maestro G. Dellavalle, in the Auditorium of the Casino of Toulon (France), on the occasion of the Bicentenaire de la Légion d’Honneur.
On 2008 the Choir performed the "Messa da Requiem" by G. Verdi at the Tearo Coccia in Novara and in the Church of Beata Vergine Assunta in Trecate (No) with the Coro S. Gregorio Magno, at the invitation of Maestro Mauro Trombetta, Artistic Director of the Teatro dell’Opera in Rome and the Arena in Verona.
This performance was conducted by Maestro Nello Santi, internationally recognized as one of the greatest Orchestra Conductors.

Another performance of the "Messa da Requiem" by G. Verdi in Gavardo (Bs) and Verolavecchia (Bs), always in collaboration with Coro S. Gregorio Magno, conductor Maestro Alfonso Scarano. By G. Rossini, the Choir performed in 2010 the "Stabat Mater" on the occasion of the Exposition of the Holy Shroud in the Church of the SS. Sudario in Turin. In 2012 and 2013, performance of "Carmina Burana" and a lyrical concert at the Teatro Regio in Turin, with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Piedmont conducted by Maestro Gianni Monte, organized by the Young Entrepreneurs Group of the Industrial Union. In 2024, the choir performed the "Petite Messe" by G. Rossini, conducted by Maestro Lorenzo Battagion, in Vercelli and Domodossola
